Biography
Ali was born in Bojonegoro on May 25, 1993 to Alwi bin Abdurrahman Aljufri and Siti Fatimah. His parents were Arab Indonesians of mixed Hadhrami and Javanese heritage. Ali is a Sayyid with his clan Aljufrī lineage tracing back to Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib through Imam Ahmad al-Muhajir. Meanwhile, his wife is also of a Sayyid family from as-Ṣāfiy al-Jufrī.
Education
After graduating from SD Muhammadiyah (Public Elementary School) Sampit, East Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan in 2007, Ali continued his middle school at MTs PPKP (Public Middle School) in Sampit, East Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan in 2010. He continued his high school at MA Abu Dzarrin in Bojonegoro, East Java. However, not until a year did he move to MA NU Islamiyah Situbondo, East Java but graduated from the Islamic Village High school in Situbondo, East Java in 2013.
Personal Life
Ali is married Syarifah Sheha Ali binti Ali bin Muhammad as-Ṣāfiy al-Jufrī on December 28, 2013 in Sampang, East Java. Before moving to Nganjuk, he lived in Bojonegoro for two years (2015-2017).
Ali worked in marketing (Mahani Leather) for about a year in Kuta, Badung, Bali after he married, before returning to Sampang in 2014.
Activity
On September 16, 2016, Ali and his friend Zainul founded the “Ngopi Cangkir” community in Bojonegoro. Ngopi Cangkir (NGobrol Perkara Iman, CANGkrukan dan dziKIR) or talk about Faith, gathering and dzikir. Ngopi Cangkir Community is active in preaching and empowering young men and women to be better in society.
On September 17, 2017 after moving to Nganjuk, Ali was more active in the activities of Jama’ah Hadrah As Syadziliyah Nganjuk and Majelis RoSho.
